Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for our athletes to reintegrate them back to sports following the guidelines set out by the Provincial Government.

To maintain our philosophy of “quality” in our programs, we are offering “Pods of 6” players ONLY on a first come / first serve basis. These pods are grouped according to ages.

  • Monday and Wednesday are two separate age categories: 5 – 8 years do 45 minute classes and 12 years and upward do hour classes.

  • Tuesday and Thursday are varied time slots for players between the ages of 9 and 11 years of age attending one hour classes.

Content varies (but is not limited to):

  • Off-Ice Dryland such as balance, flexibility, agility, stride exercises

  • Stickhandling

  • Shooting

  • Positional Play

  • “Thinking the Game”

  • Injury Prevention

Registration is done week to week and can be done online to join scheduled classes.  Alternatively, if you have a pod of 6 and come together as an organized group, we can book an instructor to suit your group. Please call Coach Gay to register full pods.

These classes will run the month of June for sure and perhaps longer. Schedules vary slightly from week to week, depending on the waiting list. The venue we are currently utilizing is the outdoor rink behind St. John Paul School on Southlands Drive. It is perfect, as it has a beautiful green space as well.

  • There are no washrooms open.

  • Players are responsible to bring their own water bottles, stick, gloves and stickhandling ball (golf balls work well too)

  • We ask that participants arrive no sooner than 5 minuntes prior to each class.

  • As this is a first come / first serve, please honor your commitment once registered, or give us the consideration of a 24 hour cancellation, as we have players on our waiting lists each week.

For the schedule, please refer to the registration form. (Weather permitting. We will do our best to re-schedule due to poor weather conditions.) Evening classes are a definite possibility if enough requests are received. Please communicate with Coach Gay via text or email.  403.548.0162

Platinum Star wants to do our part to “give back” to the community that supports us! We thank parents for your kind gestures.

We are truly grateful to Mr. Jason Fleury for his kindness in helping us out with this project! His willingness to assist players in our community to be able to participate in projects such as this is appreciated beyond words, and we extend a very huge and heartfelt thank you for his generosity! Many thanks!!!
