C.A.P.S.S.

AGES 8 YEARS AND UP

CROSSOVERS. ACCELERATION.

PIVOTS. STOPS. STRIDE.

All program groupings are subject to coach discretion and revised as necessary, as we aim to keep players of the same ability level together.

C.A.P.S.S. is designed for players seeking a higher level of intensity in low player:coach ratios. Our main focus is mastery of edges, efficient skating technique (both with and without a puck/ring), as well as stickhandling skills, shooting and game scenarios.

OBJECTIVE: We are committed to work on key components of power skating to assist players in becoming superior skaters. Our expert hockey skill technicians provide innovative drills that are fun and take stickhandling to another level. Our “hands-on” approach is tailored to the specific level of EACH registrant. We zero in on each player, assess and correct their current technique, as well as introduce new and challenging skills, resulting in a dramatic improvement in all aspects of their game.

THE 2020 PROGRAM SCHEDULE WILL BE ADDED EARLY IN THE NEW YEAR.

tori johnson

Tori grew up in Medicine Hat, where she developed a passion for skating and Ringette. She attended Notre Dame Hockey Academy where she started power skating. This is where she gained a better understanding of the biomechanics behind skating. Tori has been playing Ringette for the past eighteen years, winning many provincial competitions and even competing overseas! She recently graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Nursing and relocated back to Medicine Hat where she is working as a nurse.  Tori is excited to be part of the Platinum Star team and can’t wait for each session to share her passion! We are happy to have a coach with such vast Ringette experience join us, as it broadens our spectrum with Tori’s knowledge!
